Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll help shape how users interact with our platform to make buildings more energy efficient. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Designers to transform user needs into elegant, performant interfaces.
- Build, test, and maintain modern frontend components using React, TypeScript, and Storybook — with a strong focus on reusability, accessibility, and performance.
- Take part in product discovery and design iterations by giving feedback early, challenging assumptions, and proposing improvements.
- Pair-program and mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of learning, feedback, and high standards.
- Write meaningful, testable code following clean code principles, and participate in thoughtful code reviews.
- Continuously deliver small, incremental changes to production, and enhance features through rapid feedback cycles.
- Improve frontend performance and maintainability, proactively identifying technical debt and refactoring when needed.
Your Skills and Qualifications
While tech isn’t everything, we are looking for someone who brings strong frontend skills and a collaborative mindset to the table:
- Experience with React — including Hooks and advanced state management.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Familiarity with modern rendering strategies like SSR, SSG, and CSR.
- Comfortable with data fetching tools like Axios and React Query, form management with React Hook Form, and styling using Tailwind CSS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like GitHub Actions or equivalents.
- Fluency in English
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with performance optimization and modern testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Vitest).
- Understanding of core concepts like closures, prototypes, and async programming.
- Experience in applying these concepts effectively using frameworks like Next.js.
- Experience in implementing localization and internationalization strategies.
- Proficiency in Figma and committed to maintaining a shared Storybook design system.
